Moms Weekend is fast approaching! It’s a great opportunity to spend some time with family and show your mom all things U of I! There are TONS of things going on during Moms Weekend and we’ve rounded up some of the best things happening on and around campus.
Friday, April 5
Pretties by Paris - 5PM-9PM
Pretties by Paris is a DIY painting studio located at 2004 S Neil St, Champaign, IL. You can create your own amazing signs and decor items. Simply go in, pick your stencil, and create a PERFECTLY painted sign! Pretties by Paris DIY Studio is having a JSM VIP Day on April 5 & April 6 (between the hours of 5PM and 9PM!). Weekend Film at the Union - 7PM
Head to the Illini Union Pine Lounge for a FREE showing of Mary Poppins Returns!
Illini Student Musicals presents “Footloose” - 7:30PM
Illini Student Musicals will be performing “Footloose” in the Lincoln Hall Theater. The show will also run on April 6 at 1PM & 7:30PM, and on April 7 at 1PM. Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for general admission. Click Here to purchase your tickets!

Market in the Square - 8AM-12PM
Head over to the Lincoln Square Mall (201 Lincoln Square, Urbana, IL) for Market in the Square. It is Urbana’s 6 month, winter and spring, indoor Farmers Market. It features fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, arts and crafts, and more!
Illinois Flower Show 2019 - 10AM-6PM
Every year for Moms Weekend the University of Illinois Horticulture Club puts on a free flower show at the Stock Pavilion. Each year they do a different theme and it is always fun to go and see how they set it up. You can even purchase some flowers to bring home! (1402 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Urbana).
Illini Union Board Craft Fair - 10AM-5PM
The Illini Union Board Craft Fair is located in Illini Rooms ABC. It features dozens of craft vendors with tons of gifts, crafts, decor items, and more available for purchase!
Japan House Spring Open House and Tea Ceremonies - 11AM-5PM
The Japan House is having a free open house! If you’d like to participate in the tea ceremony it is $8 per person.

The Illinois Rip Chords Spring Show - 7PM
The a capella group The Illinois Rip Chords will be performing at Gregory Hall Room 112. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for the public
Sunday, April 7
Mom’s Weekend Brunch put on by the Mom’s Association - 10AM-12PM
Head over to the Illini Union Rooms ABC for a brunch to round out Moms weekend! The price is $22 per person and tickets can be purchased on the Moms Association Website.
7th Annual Illini Veterans Memorial 5K Run/Walk - 10AM
What better way to end Moms Weekend than by participating in a 5k for a good cause? You can register for the race here. The race will take place on the University of Illinois Main Quad and the proceeds will benefit the Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education.
