When turning on your air conditioner for the season, close the vent and ensure the filter is clean.  Be sure to allow ample time for the unit to cool your apartment.  To keep your unit from icing up or leaking, always set the thermostat above 72 degrees.  If the  a/c filter needs to be cleaned or replaced, please submit an online maintenance request for this service.  Some of the air conditioner units in the apartment come with remote controls.  If the remote control is lost, damaged, or stolen, replacement will cost $50.  JSM reserves the right to increase the amount of replacement if warranted.
